This is the story of a little « bistrot » that is never empty… Hidden in a little street in the old « Vaugueux » district of Caen, this excellent address welcomes businessmen, old-time friends and true gourmets.

One has to say of course that the young Chef, in charge of the
kitchen since five years now, has the opportunity to fully express
himself here and that he is particularly picky in his choice
of products, for a cuisine that is a festival of flavours.
That explains how we find such varied items on the menu: Moroccan
inspiration, or from Southern France; sometimes it is even a
mix between traditional Normandy cuisine and flavours from the
Provence region, truly surprising!
The atmosphere is that of a typical bistrot, the
service is warm and welcoming and is supervised by the Chef
who always keeps an eye on the dining room from his kitchen.
He always knows what his guests are eating and … drinking!
We
have the pleasure to note that the restaurant is non-smoking
for the moment, albeit temporarily.
The friendly hum of conversations and the somewhat small dining
room are instantly perceived as of secondary importance and
one is charmed by the quality of the cuisine and by the authentic
and friendly atmosphere, really a contrast with the usual tourist
traps in the area.
The ideal gourmet menu is a discovery of Stéphane’s
« unmissables », and if you let yourself be guided,
the Chef will know how to suggest the latest compositions of
the day, with a little local wine, his secret indeed. Book your
table well in advance and… enjoy!
