Laurence and Mark Sweetman were in fact so charmed by the pretty rue du Chapitre that they decided to move their restaurant – it had already changed names – to this building, an old cart garage used by the noble dames of Epinal.

The Bistrot Gourmand is in fact the successful mix of a cuisine with very modern and daring flavours and a 17th century building with a well defined look.
According to Laurence's wishes, the restaurant's dining room is colourful, luminous, warm and intimate.
The décor very skilfully mixes the history that goes with the place and a modernity that actually defines this dynamic and ambitious couple.
Originally from Britain, Mark nevertheless has a profound respect for French cuisine; he knows how to handle it very well indeed, in his kitchen that you can see from the street.
